The founders of “Haleb” lived in Syria for a while, after which, in 1998, they decided to return to their homeland and start a family business.
Every single detail is important in the Middle East, which makes family business a mini culture. Traditionally, not only unique recipes were passed on to the younger generation, but also special skills and techniques to create them. Imagine mountains, heat of the Vayots Dzor sun, two century old roots:  this is Maran – family, history and creation of wine. Maran’s origins date back to 1828-1830, when Maran and her family emigrated from Persia to the province of Vayots Dzor in Armenia. They planted a vineyard in their homeland. Later Maran’s sons expanded vineyard and started making wine.  200 years later, Maran’s winemaking traditions have been preserved and illustrated in the popular “Noravank,” “Bagratuni,” “Zarm,” “Parajanov,” “Malahi” wines.
